This is a great opportunity step into a small, tight knit finance team, with the ability to learn from a long standing highly experienced CFO. This is a hands-on role where you'll be expected to roll up your sleeves owning processes end-to-end rather than just reviewing or overseeing them.

DUTIES

  • Reporting directly to the CFO - You will be responsible for the accounting function day-to-day.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable oversight - Manage end-to-end AP and AR processes, including payment runs, debtor follow-ups.
  • Own the month-end close - Deliver accurate and timely monthly accounts, including journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and analysis.
  • Management & financial reporting - Prepare monthly management reports including sales analysis, GP margins, cost analysis, and budget variance commentary for leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Compliance & statutory reporting - BAS, PAYG , FBT returns and income tax.
  • Budgeting, forecasting & Cash flow analysis- Assist with annual budgeting, capex management, and ongoing budget analysis/forecasting.
  • Systems & ERP management - Maintain and improve the ERP system, resolve errors and support system enhancements.
  • Stakeholder collaboration - Partner with Operations, Marketing, Customer Service and Leadership teams to ensure accurate billing, rebates, reporting and commercial insights.

YOUR SKILLS

  • Bring several years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, ideally within a small to medium commercial organisation.
  • Experienced in using ERP systems (essential), beyond Xero & MYOB
  • CA/CPA qualifications (preferred- not essential)
  • Possess strong analytical prowess and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Embrace a hands-on, team-focused approach, collaborating with colleagues across the business.
