Key Responsibilities

• Lead the smooth and efficient delivery of all Conferences & Events, ensuring every detail matches client expectations and BEO requirements.
• Oversee set-up, food presentation, cleanliness, and equipment hire to the highest standards.
• Manage inventory, stock ordering, rostering, billing, and departmental upkeep with accuracy and efficiency.
• Drive team training, development, and succession planning, creating a positive and engaging work environment.
• Establish, implement, and uphold SOPs and service standards across the department.
• Partner with the C&E Operations Manager to supervise the team and maximise service, sales, and profitability.
• Handle client interactions with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction, repeat business, and swift resolution of any concerns.
• Support weekly stocktakes and maintain strong financial controls, particularly within the beverage department.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to make best use of resources and deliver seamless guest experiences.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in managing or supervising Meetings, Events, or Banquets within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with a passion for developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a genuine focus on creating memorable guest experiences.
• Sound financial acumen, with experience in rostering, billing, stock control, and cost management.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build strong client and team relationships.
• Commitment to upholding service excellence and driving continuous improvement.
