About the Role

We are seeking a Commercial & Residential Manager Sales & Leasing, Location – Blackburn, VIC or Redfern, NSW for a Permanent Full-Time opportunity.

Purpose of the Role

This role plays a critical part in ensuring TSA’s residential and commercial property portfolio delivers strong commercial performance while actively supporting the organisation’s mission objectives, both social and spiritual. Leading a high-performing team, you will drive sales and leasing activities across a diverse national portfolio, ensuring the provision of suitable, compliant, and cost-effective accommodation that meets the needs of internal customers and personnel.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Beyond day-to-day portfolio management, this role influences strategic property outcomes through robust financial analysis, market intelligence, sound governance, and informed decision-making. It offers the opportunity to shape long-term property strategy, optimise asset performance, and contribute to initiatives that create lasting value for the organisation and the communities it serves.

Responsibilities include

Leadership and Delivery

  • Provide strategic and people‑centred leadership to ensure strong team performance, capability development, and consistent excellence in service delivery standards.
  • Drive the successful delivery of complex property transactions by contributing and supporting the team to achieve outcomes that deliver sound commercial and missional outcomes
  • Contribute to and support the delivery of the organisation’s long‑term property strategy
  • Deliver commercially optimised residential and commercial sales and leasing outcomes by meeting annual occupancy, revenue, and cost‑management targets across the national portfolio.

Compliance

  • Ensure timely provision of suitable, compliant, and cost‑effective housing for internal customers and personnel, aligned with approved budgets and business plan requirements.
  • Lead the preparation, review, and endorsement of residential and commercial business cases to support informed investment decisions and maximise asset value.

Market Intelligence and reporting

  • Oversee national governance, compliance, and process frameworks, ensuring all sales and leasing activities adhere to relevant legislation, policy, and internal controls.
  • Provide high‑quality market intelligence and valuation insights to inform strategic asset planning and optimise portfolio utilisation.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the national property database, ensuring reliable reporting for finance, IT, and executive decision‑making.

Skills Required

  • Significant senior leadership experience managing a large‑scale national residential property portfolio.
  • Proven success delivering strong commercial, financial, and operational outcomes across sales, acquisitions, leasing, and development projects.
  • Deep understanding of residential and commercial property legislation across multiple states and territories.
  • Experience leading project sales programs, including marketing, advertising, and customer engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute property strategies that maximise asset performance and support organisational objectives.

Desirable Skills

  • Real Estate Agent’s licence (desirable).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Property, Property Management, or a related business discipline (post‑graduate qualifications highly regarded).

Requirements of the role

  • A National Criminal History Check is required
  • A current Drivers licence
