About the role

With the recent award of the Defence Clothing Stores (DCS) contract, we are excited to have an open opportunity for a Business Manager to manage the Business Support stream of services inclusive of HR, ICT, commercial, finance, training and quality.

Ventia is fully accountable for delivering end‑to‑end clothing capability for Defence which includes clothing design, supply, warehousing, distribution, and store services across Australia.

This role is a Permanent Full-Time position offering hybrid working based Victoria, although we are open to applications from other states.

Other responsibilities include:

• Contract and operational compliance
• Consistency in service delivery across all sites reflecting the national approach
• Application and monitoring of Ventia and Defence policy and procedure to ensure contractual compliance
• Promote and role model a customer centric culture that is responsive and proactive in its approach to customer service
• Analyse performance and recommend improvement strategies
• Point of escalation for issue resolution
• Drive a culture of delivering customer service and positive experience
• Positively contribute to a diverse, inclusive and fair work environment, free from discrimination, bullying and harassment.
• Carry out all work activities upholding compliance, quality and improvement

A bout you

To be successful in your application, you will have qualifications the areas of supply chain management, logistics, project management accompanied with experience working within a logistics environment.

You will also possess:

• Experience working in a similar role, ideally in a large complex environment
• Ability to access and operate mandated Defence systems including PIMS and MILIS (Military Integration Logistic Information System)
• Required to liaise with clients/staff and respond to specific deadlines
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

In this contract, you will be required to obtain and a Defence Security Clearance and be an Australian Citizen.
