About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced
Project Manager – Road and Landscape Assets to lead the planning and delivery of road maintenance, roadside vegetation, landscape, and asset improvement projects.
This role is responsible for managing projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring outcomes are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with client and contractual requirements.
The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of road corridor assets, landscape maintenance, and asset management principles, together with proven stakeholder and contractor management experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of road and landscape asset projects from planning through to completion.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and delivery plans.
- Coordinate internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to deliver project objectives.
- Oversee roadside vegetation management, landscape enhancement/rehabilitation, and road asset maintenance projects.
- Monitor project performance against safety, quality, environmental, budget, and schedule requirements.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage client relationships and provide regular reporting on project progress and performance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, client requirements, and company policies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve asset performance and project delivery outcomes.
- Support the development of innovative and sustainable solutions for road and landscape assets.
- Work closely with operational teams, clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders, you will play a critical role in improving asset performance, enhancing customer outcomes, and delivering value across the network.
About You
You are a collaborative and solution-focused project manager who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Essential Experience
- Experience managing civil infrastructure, road maintenance, landscape/vegetation, or asset management projects
- Strong understanding of road corridor assets, including: Pavements, Vegetation, Drainage systems, Signs and guideposts, Safety barriers, Road furniture, Footpaths and shared-use paths, Roadside infrastructure
- Demonstrated knowledge of landscape and vegetation management within road corridors and public infrastructure environments.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Strong risk management and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
