Description & Requirements

Help us deliver a better tomorrow

Australia Post plays a vital role in keeping Australia moving. Behind every delivery is a complex, intelligent network and we are continuing to evolve how that network operates to meet the demands of today and tomorrow.

As eCommerce grows and customer expectations continue to shift, we are investing in smarter, more scalable ways of working. This includes how we design, manage and partner across our delivery network.

We are building what is next and looking for leaders who want to shape it with us.

About the opportunity

This is a critical leadership role at the centre of Australia Post’s Delivery Partner Strategy, responsible for shaping the economics and capacity that underpin our network. As Manager, Capacity Planning & Pricing, you’ll provide the analytical engine that ensures our commercial decisions are grounded in robust, data-led insights.

Working across operations, finance, and commercial teams, you’ll develop the models and frameworks that determine how our network scales, what it costs to serve, and how we optimise performance. This is a high-impact role where your work will directly influence strategic decisions, network design, and long-term sustainability.

What you’ll deliver with us

Reporting to the Head of Delivery Partner Strategy, you’ll lead the development of sophisticated capacity and pricing models that underpin Australia Post’s delivery partner strategy. You’ll ensure our network is designed and optimised using data-driven insights, balancing cost, capacity, and performance to support a sustainable and scalable operation.

You will also:

  • Design, build, and maintain models for network capacity, cost-to-serve, and delivery partner economics
  • Provide analytical inputs into pricing, tender design, and commercial frameworks for delivery partners
  • Conduct scenario modelling to assess the impact of changes across demand, network structure, and cost drivers
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams to align assumptions, inform decisions, and drive efficiency improvements

About you

You’re a highly analytical and commercially minded leader who thrives on solving complex problems and turning data into actionable insights. You bring strong experience in network optimisation, pricing, or supply chain strategy, and are confident influencing senior stakeholders with clear, evidence-based recommendations.

You bring:

  • Proven experience in network design, supply chain optimisation, or pricing within a complex, high-volume environment
  • Strong capability in building and managing complex financial or operational models (e.g. cost-to-serve, capacity planning)
  • Deep analytical thinking, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into practical, commercial outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence across operations, finance, and commercial teams
  • Experience working with contractor or third-party workforce models (highly regarded)
  • A collaborative, forward-thinking approach, with a focus on continuous improvement and enterprise outcomes

Most importantly, you’re someone who is curious, commercially astute, and driven to build smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable network solutions.

How we’ll deliver for you

  • The opportunity to lead in Australia Post’s most complex and innovative transformation journey.
  • Exposure to enterprise‑scale automation, technology and network transformation.
  • Genuine influence shaping national network performance.
  • Leadership development, flexibility and career growth within a purpose‑led organisation.
