About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Cleanse Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Data Cleanse Lead, you will play an important role in assisting in identifying and executing all data cleansing activity supporting the migration stream of Red Energy’s Core Retail Platform (CRP) project. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data prior to migration to the target system, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition.

In this role, you will:
- Actively run the execution of data cleansing scripts, tools, and manual processes while monitoring data quality throughout the cleansing lifecycle.
- Utilise existing data quality tools and platforms to support cleansing efforts, documenting processes, queries, and routines using programming languages like SQL and Python.
- Act as a point of contact for specific data cleansing inquiries, communicating regularly with project managers, data architects, business analysts, and data owners to validate rules and obtain sign-offs.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all data cleansing processes, rules, outcomes, and data lineage for audit and compliance purposes.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with data quality, support the development of contingency plans, and provide post-migration validation and reconciliation support.
What we’re looking for:
- A proven track record working on large-scale and complex integration/migration projects, specifically within data cleansing.
- Strong technical capabilities with experience documenting data cleansing processes and scripts using SQL, Python, or specialized tools.
- Prior experience working within the energy sector is highly preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, influencing abilities, and a dedicated customer focus.
- Thrive in ambiguity, enjoy taking on complex challenges, love creating something new, and possess a genuine drive to see things through to completion.
