We have been a leading independent supplier of plumbing, bathroom and kitchen products across the ACT and Southern NSW for over 40 years. As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a motivated and detail‑driven Accounts Officer to join our Finance Team at our Fyshwick Head Office.

About the role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in the day‑to‑day processing of financial transactions and supporting the wider business. This varied position blends accounts administration, customer service and problem‑solving within a supportive team environment.

Key duties include

  • Process customer invoices, receipts and daily banking
  • Complete cash and petty cash reconciliations
  • Manage credit card and fuel card transactions
  • Process and reconcile supplier invoices and statements
  • Prepare supplier payment runs
  • Set up new customer and supplier accounts
  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Assist with regional cash reconciliations and month‑end tasks
  • Provide general administrative support and liaise with internal and external stakeholders

About You

You enjoy working with numbers, take pride in accuracy and thrive in a collaborative team. Ideally, you bring:

  • Experience in accounts or finance administration (preferred, not essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
  • Intermediate–advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Experience with accounting software (advantageous; training provided)
