We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support a Partner and their team of lawyers within our highly regarded Real Estate practice in Melbourne.

This is an opportunity to work closely with a high‑performing team in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, where your organisational skills and proactive approach will be highly valued.

You will work closely with a partner and their team to provide administrative support including:

  • Liaising with clients and key internal and external stakeholders
  • File management and matter administration
  • Matter opening and onboarding
  • Managing calendars and coordinating meetings
  • Conducting property searches
  • Billing, time coding and reporting
  • Assisting with events and business development activities

Required skills and personal attributes

  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive, self‑motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel)
  • Advanced knowledge of CMS/Aderant or other finance‑related software
  • Ability to develop and foster strong professional relationships internally and with clients
