The Role

As a Contracts Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless financial and administrative delivery of our projects. Working closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and subcontractors, your day-to-day will involve:

  • Financial Management: Managing upstream and downstream claims, vendor payments, and retention payments in line with project timelines.
  • Procurement & Negotiation: Assisting with subcontractor engagement, preparing pricing comparisons, budget planning, and helping negotiate contracts to mitigate risk.
  • Project Controls: Monitoring project scopes, variations, RFIs, schedules, material lead times, and subcontractor performance.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintaining meticulous cost tracking, contract correspondence, and ensuring strict alignment with legislation, industry standards, and safety planning (including SWMS reviews).

About You

We are looking for a collaborative, growth-minded professional who aligns with our core values of respect, professionalism, and excellence. To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience: Approximately 3+ years of experience in a similar contract administration or project coordination role within the construction industry.
  • Qualifications: A Diploma in Construction Management (or related discipline). A background or degree in Construction Management is highly regarded.
  • Tickets & Licences: Valid White Card, Asbestos Awareness, and Silica Awareness certifications. A full Australian Driver’s License and your own vehicle are required. (First Aid Certificate is desirable).
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills with a proven ability to build trust and maintain excellent relationships with clients and subcontractors.
