About The Role
Band 3 – Salary from $86,266 + Super
TasNetworks is seeking a proactive and customer-focused
Facilities Officer to support the safe, efficient and reliable operation of our statewide facilities and energised substations. Working closely with the Facilities Team Leader, you will coordinate maintenance, minor capital works and contractor management while providing operational and administrative support to the team. You will also help maintain compliance with safety, building and governance requirements through facility audits, documentation and contractor oversight.
This hands-on role offers a diverse mix of operational coordination, stakeholder engagement and problem solving. You will create, maintain and improve the processes within the substations space, working agilely as the work and needs quickly change.
About You
You are a motivated, organised and customer-focused facilities professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. With experience in facilities, building services or property operations, you bring strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate maintenance, contractors and small to medium projects to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
You have an understanding of the Building Code of Australia, workplace safety requirements and facilities-related standards, together with the confidence to build strong relationships across all levels of the business. You are comfortable engaging with tradespeople, contractors and senior stakeholders, understand contractor and contract management principles, and are committed to delivering a high standard of customer service. Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint and facilities management systems, you use technology to support efficient operations and continuous improvement.
Whilst this is predominately an office-based role, there will be a requirement to regularly travel across the state and participate in a 1:4 on-call roster.
