We're looking for an experienced Utilities & Process Services Leader to lead the critical utilities that keep our brewery operating. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring reliable plant performance while driving continuous improvement, sustainability and operational excellence.

This is a permanent full-time position based at Tooheys Brewery in Lidcombe.

About the role

You'll be responsible for the safe, reliable and cost-effective operation of the brewery's utilities and wastewater treatment facilities. You'll lead a team of 6 while partnering closely with other departments to optimise plant performance and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the safe and reliable operation of site utilities including steam, refrigeration, compressed air, CO₂, electrical distribution, water treatment and wastewater systems.
  • Ensure uninterrupted utility supply to support brewing and packaging operations.
  • Drive plant performance through preventative maintenance, reliability improvements and capital projects.
  • Manage operating budgets and optimise utility consumption, chemicals and contractor spend.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and asset management principles.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, safety standards and engineering governance requirements.
  • Partner with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams to deliver site performance objectives.
  • Coach, develop and lead a high-performing team while fostering a strong safety and continuous improvement culture.

About you

You'll bring a combination of technical expertise, operational leadership and the ability to influence across a complex manufacturing environment.

  • An Engineering or Trades qualification (preferred).
  • Experience leading utilities or process services within a manufacturing, food & beverage, pharmaceutical or heavy industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of utilities systems such as steam, refrigeration, water treatment, electrical distribution or wastewater treatment.
  • Demonstrated success delivering continuous improvement initiatives and operational performance improvements.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across multiple functions.
  • A collaborative leadership style with experience coaching and developing teams.
