Disability Support Worker
Southern Cross Community Healthcare
We are currently seeking a caring and compassionate disability support worker to provide care and assistance to a 74 year old male with a spinal cord injury, this care will help him live independently at home.

Duties include but not limited too
- Management of ventilation and tracheostomy care
- Assist with personal care tasks
- Medication administration
- PEG feeding
- Assistance with Allied health tasks
- Use of mobility equipment
- Light domestic assistance
- Nutritional support
You will be supported by qualified healthcare professionals and would get the necessary training and skills to do the best job you can.
Shift times
7.00am - 10.00am
7.00am - 3.30pm
3.00pm - 10.00pm
9.00pm - 7.00am (active night)
Requirements
- Current references
- Mobile phone
- Current driver's licence and your own car (mandatory)
- NDIS workers screening check or willing to obtain (mandatory)
- First Aid certificate or willing to obtain (mandatory)
- Paid WWCC (Working with Children's check) or willing to obtain Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/ Disability) or similar
