Hawthorn, Melbourne | Full Time

Own Your Territory. Grow Your Career.

At Tassal, we're proud to be Australia's leading seafood producer, bringing responsibly sourced, premium seafood to tables across the country. Guided by our purpose of Sustainably Feeding Tomorrow, we're passionate about building long-term customer partnerships and investing in our people.

We're looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our VIC/TAS Sales team. Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you'll take ownership of an established territory across Victoria and Tasmania, driving growth through strong customer relationships, commercial thinking and exceptional territory execution.

If you're someone who thrives on building partnerships, uncovering opportunities and making a genuine impact, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a role for someone who enjoys being out in the market, connecting with customers and growing a territory. You'll have the autonomy to manage your portfolio while being supported by an experienced and collaborative sales team.

You'll be responsible for

  • Growing sales and market share across your assigned VIC/TAS territory.

  • Building trusted relationships with independent retailers, seafood wholesalers, distributors, foodservice customers and hospitality operators.

  • Identifying, qualifying and converting new business opportunities.

  • Developing customer growth plans that deliver value for both your customers and Tassal.

  • Executing promotional activity, product activations and distribution initiatives.

  • Managing your sales pipeline, CRM and customer reporting with accuracy and discipline.

  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and customer insights to identify new commercial opportunities.

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver outstanding customer experiences and business outcomes.

  • Travelling throughout Victoria and Tasmania to support customers and continue growing your territory.

About You

You're a commercially minded sales professional who enjoys building genuine relationships and creating opportunities for growth. You're organised, proactive and comfortable managing your own territory, while knowing the value of working collaboratively with your team.

You'll bring

  • Experience in Territory Sales, Area Sales, Account Management or Business Development.

  • Experience within FMCG, foodservice, wholesale, seafood or a related industry will be highly regarded.

  • A natural ability to build trusted relationships with customers, distributors, wholesalers, hospitality operators and internal stakeholders.

  • Strong commercial acumen and confidence identifying opportunities that deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to work independently while knowing when to seek support or escalate matters.

  • Experience using CRM systems and digital sales tools to effectively manage customer activity and reporting.

  • A proactive approach, resilience and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

  • A current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout Victoria and Tasmania.

Why Tassal?

When you join Tassal, you're joining more than Australia's leading seafood business. You're joining a team that values collaboration, innovation and doing the right thing for our customers, our communities and each other.
