The Opportunity

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for operational excellence? We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of water infrastructure projects while shaping the future growth of the region. As a key member of the regional leadership team, you'll be responsible for driving excellence across multiple project delivery teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You'll play a critical role in balancing strategic leadership with operational execution, working closely with Business Development, Estimating and functional leaders to secure future work and deliver sustainable business outcomes.

Success in this role is about more than project delivery. You'll inspire and develop high performing teams, foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. You'll build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, helping to identify new opportunities while ensuring exceptional project outcomes that strengthen long term partnerships. This role offers the opportunity to influence regional performance across operations, financial management, people leadership and customer relationships, making a genuine impact on both our business and the communities we serve. You will bring:

  • Extensive relevant industry experience at senior management level
  • Degree qualifications in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or like discipline)
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing multiple, complex infrastructure projects and delivering operational and financial outcomes
  • Proven ability to lead, develop and inspire large, high performing teams while fostering a positive and collaborative culture
  • Strong commercial acumen, including project financial management, planning and the ability to execute strategic operational plans
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across customers, teams and the business
  • Highly developed organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in a fast paced environment
