A creative tribute to Japanese cuisine, Yakimono is an exuberant inner-urban Japanese eating house in the heart of the CBD. The colourful and high energy Yakimono joined the Lucas Collective family in late 2021.

Proudly founder-owned and led, our independent hospitality collective is home to the country’s most loved and acclaimed restaurant, bar and event brands — including Chin Chin, Maison Batârd, Society, Grill Americano and more.

We are looking for the industry’s best Waitstaff to join our team to deliver an unforgettable experience for our guests. Coordinate and communicate a multitude of elements within the restaurant. You will be guest focused and bring a charismatic approach to your work.

Main Role Responsibilities:

Ensure exceptional guest service, from the moment a guest walks in, to the moment they leave
Greet & seat guests, taking orders, delivering food and drinks to the table
Demonstrate knowledge of food & wine and genuine interest for hospitality
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of station and service areas at all times
Proactively carry out any other duties as instructed by Crew Leaders

Experience, Skills & Attributes:

Experience as a section waitstaff in a high volume, premium restaurant is advantageous
Demonstrated experience in exceeding guest expectations
Adaptable and able to multi-task effectively
Strong work ethic and a "can do" attitude
Outgoing personality and genuine interest in the day to day operations
Able and willing to work a rotating roster including weekend, public holiday, opening and closing shifts
