About The Role
What if your expertise in healthcare data governance could directly shape how AI understands, interprets, and works with clinical information at scale? We're looking for experienced Hospital Health Data Governance Leads to help ensure that health data used in AI training is accurate, trusted, compliant, and ready for real-world clinical and analytical application.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You'll bring deep knowledge of hospital data ecosystems, privacy frameworks, and cross-functional collaboration — and apply it at the frontier of healthcare AI.

What You'll Do
- Define and enforce data governance standards that ensure hospital health records are accurate, consistent, and secure
- Evaluate and improve the quality of health data used in AI model training and evaluation pipelines
- Collaborate across clinical, IT, compliance, and operational stakeholders to align data policies and workflows
- Identify gaps in data quality, completeness, and compliance — and recommend clear, actionable remediation
- Apply regulatory and privacy frameworks such as HIPAA to assess data handling practices
- Support governed, high-quality data pipelines that enable safe patient care, clinical reporting, and AI-driven decision making
- Work independently on task-based assignments at your own pace and schedule
Who You Are
- Experienced in healthcare data governance, clinical data management, or health information operations
- Strong working knowledge of healthcare privacy regulations and compliance frameworks — particularly HIPAA
- Skilled at working cross-functionally with clinical, technical, and administrative teams
- Detail-oriented, systematic, and confident in evaluating complex data environments
- Able to communicate clearly and translate technical data issues for non-technical stakeholders
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently in a remote setting
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or AI evaluation workflows
- Background in EHR systems, health informatics, or clinical data warehousing
- Familiarity with data stewardship, metadata management, or master data management (MDM)
- Experience working with research or regulatory data submissions in a hospital setting
