A bit about the role

We are seeking an experience Commercial Credit Manager to take a key role in supporting our commercial business strategy.

Reporting to the Head of Credit, you will be responsible for increasing BNK’s Commercial Lending balance sheet portfolio through managing and underwriting conforming Commercial Lending applications. You will also be tasked with managing the commercial lending analysts ensuring that the team is focused on providing quality service to our introducers while working within BNK’s Credit Policy.

What you will bring

  • Hold current commercial DLA of $1.5m or above
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated Banking/Financial Services Secured Commercial Underwriting Experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Alt Doc lending
  • Demonstrated understanding of regulatory requirements applying to the financial services sector
  • Deep working knowledge of Credit Risk and Responsible Lending
  • Tertiary qualification in a finance or business related discipline and/or Cert IV in Mortgage Broking & Finance or higher
  • AML Certification

Key Responsibilities

Manage a team of commercial credit analysts including ensuring that day to day output and conversion rate expectations are met.

Analyse & approve commercial loan applications under delegation or higher referral which includes equipment/ asset finance.

Managing a portfolio of commercial loan applications from application through to formal approval.

Proactively engaging with senior key stakeholders to raise awareness of credit risk weaknesses and assist with developing remediation actions.

Maintain the compliance schedule for annual reviews on commercial portfolios.

Ensure service standards and turnaround times (SLA’s’) are consistently met/exceeded in terms of agreed times with our partners.
