Nursing Informatics Specialist

Alignerr

Nursing Informatics Specialist (AI Training)

About The Role

Your clinical experience is more valuable than you think — beyond the bedside. We're looking for Nursing Informatics Specialists to help train and evaluate AI systems designed for healthcare environments. You'll bring real-world nursing knowledge to the table, ensuring AI understands clinical workflows, EHR documentation, and patient care processes the way nurses actually experience them.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role working with Alignerr — a platform that partners with the world's leading AI research labs.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Review and evaluate AI-generated clinical content for accuracy, relevance, and real-world applicability
  • Apply your nursing expertise to assess how well AI reflects actual clinical workflows and EHR documentation practices
  • Identify gaps, errors, or unsafe assumptions in AI outputs related to nursing and health informatics
  • Provide structured, detailed feedback to help improve AI understanding of clinical data and care processes
  • Translate nursing and informatics knowledge into actionable improvements for AI training datasets
  • Work independently and asynchronously — on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent clinical background with experience in informatics, health IT, or clinical documentation
  • Hands-on familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable reviewing clinical and system data for quality and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate complex clinical concepts clearly in writing
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated
  • No prior AI experience required — your nursing and informatics knowledge is what matters

Nice to Have

  • Experience in data annotation, quality assurance, or clinical data evaluation
  • Background in nursing informatics certifications (e.g., ANCC Informatics Nursing)
  • Familiarity with clinical decision support systems or health data standards (HL7, FHIR)
