Our client is looking for an experienced Civil / Structural Project Engineer to support the delivery of a major renewable energy infrastructure project in remote WA.
Roster: 2:1 roster from Perth
Start date: Mid July 2026
Duration: approx. 6 months - depending on client requirements
Pay Rate: $85.00 - $90.00 p/h + Super depending on experience

The Role
This role will suit a technically strong Project Engineer with experience across civil and structural works in construction, infrastructure, resources, energy, utilities or major project environments. You will be working on the delivery of a new high-voltage substation and utility-scale solar facility, supporting the project through detailed design, construction, commissioning and handover.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will provide civil and structural engineering support across the successful delivery of key project works. This will include technical review, contractor management, construction support, quality assurance and stakeholder coordination.
You will be involved in civil and structural scopes including substation foundations, structural steel, buildings, drainage, roads, earthworks and solar infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Provide civil and structural engineering support during design, construction, commissioning and handover
- Review and manage design deliverables, technical documentation and contractor submissions
- Assess and resolve technical queries, non-conformances, design changes and field engineering issues
- Monitor construction progress against scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements
- Provide technical oversight across foundations, structures, buildings, drainage, roads, earthworks and solar infrastructure
- Support inspections, quality assurance, commissioning and handover activities
- Manage interfaces between engineering, construction, commissioning, operations and contractors
- Promote a strong safety culture and support safe delivery of all project works
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline
- 5-10 years' experience in civil and/or structural engineering within construction or major projects
- Experience across infrastructure, energy, mining, utilities or renewable energy projects
- Experience managing engineering consultants, contractors and technical deliverables
- Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles
- Knowledge of construction methodologies, field engineering practices, QA and technical governance
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- CPEng status or eligibility highly regarded
- HV substation or utility-scale solar project experience highly desirable
