We're partnering with a leading organisation to recruit a Senior Data Scientist to join a newly established Data Science team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape a growing capability while delivering innovative, production-ready data science solutions that make a genuine business impact.

Working alongside experienced analytics and data engineering professionals, you'll be responsible for designing, building and operationalising machine learning models that support strategic revenue compliance initiatives. You'll also provide technical leadership, mentor team members and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data science solutions are successfully embedded into business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy advanced data science and machine learning solutions.
• Build scalable, production-ready models that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Collaborate with analytics, data engineering and business teams to translate complex problems into data-driven solutions.
• Mentor and support other data science team members, promoting best practices and technical excellence.
• Communicate technical concepts to a range of stakeholders, ensuring solutions are understood and adopted.
• Contribute to the growth and maturity of a newly established Data Science capability.

About You

You'll be an experienced Data Scientist with a strong technical background and a passion for delivering practical, business-focused solutions.

You'll ideally bring:

• Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end data science and machine learning solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience working with large, complex datasets.
• Experience operationalising machine learning models in production.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• A collaborative mindset with experience mentoring or leading other technical professionals.

Technical Skills

Experience with modern cloud analytics platforms is highly desirable, including:

• Azure Databricks
• Databricks Workspaces and Notebooks
• Apache Spark and Spark SQL
• Delta Lake
• MLflow
• Databricks Jobs & Workflows
• Unity Catalog
• Feature Store
• Databricks Genie
• Model Serving
• Experience with Azure Machine Learning, Azure Data Factory, or similar cloud-based data platforms will be highly regarded.
