We are seeking an experienced OpenRoads Designer to join a high-performing Transport Infrastructure team in Perth, delivering major transport infrastructure projects across Western Australia.

This is an opportunity to work on complex, large-scale road and civil projects that directly contribute to safer, more connected, and future-ready communities.

The Role

This is a hands-on technical design position focused on the delivery of detailed civil and road design using Bentley OpenRoads Designer.

You will contribute to projects across concept, detailed design, and construction stages, producing high-quality digital models, drawings, and documentation in collaboration with engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

The role offers exposure to major transport infrastructure projects, technical problem-solving, and the opportunity to further develop your expertise in digital design delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver detailed road and civil designs using Bentley OpenRoads Designer
  • Develop and maintain 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Support delivery of complex transport infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams across disciplines
  • Apply Safety in Design and QA processes
  • Ensure compliance with Austroads, Main Roads WA, and PTA standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in digital design workflows

About You

  • Civil Engineering qualification (Diploma or Degree)
  • Strong experience in road/civil design within consulting or infrastructure delivery
  • Advanced capability in Bentley OpenRoads Designer
  • Solid understanding of Austroads and Main Roads WA standards
  • Strong geometric design and problem-solving ability
  • Experience with ProjectWise (advantageous)
  • Exposure to MicroStation and/or scripting (C#, Python etc.) beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on design packages
  • Collaborative, proactive, and quality-focused approach
