We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Land Tenure Management Officer/ Property Paralegal to join us in our Engineering & Technical Solutions team in Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth on a Full-Time Permanent basis.
Reporting to the Corridor Integrity Lead, you will play a key role in managing land tenure effectively for the operational assets required by APA.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of databases for both new and existing land tenure, agreements, and financial obligation.
- Prepare, review, and support the execution of legal documents, including leases, co-use deeds, access agreements, easements and other property-related documentation.
- Lead the resolution of outstanding tenure issues, ensuring APA’s tights and interests, such as easements, are fully protected
- Manage lease related activities, including renewals, reviews and termination
- Facilitate clear and timely communication with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment in property management and land tenure matters
Your background
- Strong knowledge of land tenure systems and legislation across Australian states.
- Proven ability to research, interpret, and apply relevant legislation as needed.
- Skilled in preparing and executing legal documents related to land tenure and land use.
- Proven experience in building positive relationships with private, corporate, and government landholders and their representatives.
- Advanced skills in stakeholder liaison, negotiation, and influencing, with excellent time management and organisational abilities.
- Strong commitment to safety, with adherence to safe practices and readiness to travel, including to remote locations.
