About The Position
Reporting to the Shutdown Lead, this role is responsible for planning and coordinating shutdown maintenance activities across process plant operations. You will develop work packs, manage CMMS work orders, and ensure maintenance scope is clearly defined and delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Working closely with planners, supervisors, and contractors, you will play a critical role in ensuring shutdown readiness and successful execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed shutdown work packs including labour, materials, and scope
- Coordinate maintenance planning to meet shutdown schedules and specifications
- Manage and maintain CMMS work orders for execution readiness
- Attend pre-shutdown meetings and TAR review
- Monitor cost and schedule performance, ensuring accuracy within planning targets
- Coordinate site setup including equipment, tooling, and logistics
- Liaise with supervisors, trades, and stakeholders on shutdown progress
- Support execution activities and provide progress reporting
- Identify risks, escalate issues, and support resolution during shutdown
- Participate in continuous improvement and lessons learned
Skills And Experience Required
- Proven experience in mechanical shutdown planning
- Strong CMMS experience (work order management and planning)
- Experience in process plant, oil & gas, or heavy industry
- Ability to develop accurate cost and time estimates
- Strong coordination and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience supporting procurement and contractor coordination
- Understanding of shutdown scheduling and execution processes
- Strong focus on safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
