Junior Accountant

Junior Accountant | Remote (NSW) | Family Office | $90,000-$100,000 + Super

We are partnering with a well-established Family Office to recruit a Junior Accountant into their close-knit finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to join a diverse business supporting a portfolio of entities across property, charities, online retail, and agriculture.

Reporting to the Finance & Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function. This is a hands-on position offering broad exposure across bookkeeping, payroll, compliance, accounts payable, and month-end reporting within a multi-entity environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities using Xero
• Performing monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing end-to-end accounts payable processes, payment runs, and cash management
• Preparing and processing payroll, including superannuation and PAYG obligations
• Preparing BAS, FBT, payroll tax, and supporting compliance lodgements
• Reviewing trial balances, investigating discrepancies, and delivering accurate month-end reporting
• Managing ASIC compliance and maintaining company records
• Supporting financial operations across a diverse portfolio of entities, including property, charities, retail, and farming businesses
• Ensuring accurate intercompany allocations and maintaining strong financial controls

About You

• Certificate IV in Accounting (or higher)
• 5+ years' accounting experience within a multi-entity or complex business environment
• Strong hands-on experience with Xero
• Experience across bookkeeping, payroll, BAS, reconciliations, and accounts payable
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills
• Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
