About the Role

Securecorp is seeking a professional and customer-focused Security Officer to join our team in a Hospital setting based in Spring Hill.

This is a permanent full-time position working a rotating 4 days on / 4 days off roster, including Permanent Night Shifts (PNS). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a healthcare environment where safety, professionalism and exceptional customer service are essential.

As the first point of contact for staff, patients and visitors, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment while delivering outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular internal and external patrols of the hospital
• Monitor CCTV, alarms and security systems
• Control access to the site and respond to security incidents
• Provide a welcoming and professional presence for patients, visitors and staff
• Respond to emergencies and assist with incident management
• Complete accurate incident reports and shift documentation
• Liaise effectively with hospital personnel, emergency services and management
• Ensure compliance with site procedures and company policies

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current QLD Security Provider Licence with crowd control
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation abilities
• High level of professionalism and personal presentation
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
• Strong attention to detail and report writing skills
• Previous experience in healthcare security (highly regarded but not essential)
• Full Australian working rights
