As the business continues its organic growth, this is an opportunity to lead the estimating team while taking ownership of the estimating function. Working closely with the Directors, you will help shape tender strategies, influence commercial outcomes, and drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, and business performance.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Directors, you will oversee the estimating team while managing the complete tender process from enquiry through to successful handover. You'll work in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment where you'll have the autonomy to make decisions, improve processes, and influence business outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, mentoring, and developing the estimating team
• Managing the end-to-end estimating process across multiple commercial flooring tenders
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
• Preparing accurate cost estimates, pricing submissions, and tender proposals
• Building and maintaining relationships with Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 commercial builders
• Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal project teams to secure competitive pricing
• Supporting project handovers to delivery teams following successful tenders
• Driving continuous improvement across estimating systems, processes, and reporting
• Working closely with Directors to influence tender strategy, project margins, and business growth

To be successful, you will bring:

• 5+ years' estimating experience within the flooring or commercial construction industry
• Previous experience leading or mentoring an estimating team, or the capability to step into a leadership role
• Experience managing the complete tender process from enquiry through to submission
• Established relationships with commercial builders across the South Australian market
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret drawings and specifications
• High-level IT skills across estimating software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Excel
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach
