Data Analyst | 12 months Contract | Sydney

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL and data analysis, with hands-on experience working with Teradata, Python, and modern data visualization tools such as Power BI. You will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets using SQL and Teradata
• Develop, maintain, and optimize data queries and reports for business use
• Perform data analysis using Python (Pandas, NumPy, etc.) to derive meaningful insights
• Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI or similar tools
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights
• Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support business strategies
• Automate recurring reports and improve efficiency of data processes
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across reports and dashboards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in data analytics or related roles
• Strong expertise in SQL and working with large datasets
• Experience with Teradata or similar data warehousing platforms
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Power BI preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to translate complex data into simple, actionable insights
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
