Graduate Tax & Business Services Accountant

Moffat & Morton is a boutique Chartered Accounting firm based on the fringe of the Brisbane CBD, offering taxation and business advisory services to a diverse client base.

We're looking for a graduate accountant to join our team in late July/early August 2026 (start date flexible) and grow with a firm that genuinely invests in its people.

What you'll do

You'll get hands-on exposure across both accounting and tax, including:

• Preparing financial statements, processing journals, and completing BAS/IAS
• Preparing and lodging tax returns for trusts, companies, partnerships and individuals
• Handling ATO registration matters and related tasks
• Working with Xero, MYOB and Handisoft

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business (completed or in progress)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• A team player with good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Motivation to complete the CA or equivalent qualification
• Right to work in Australia (citizenship, permanent residency, or graduate/working visa)
