Azooa is seeking Expressions of Interest for Multiple Defence Logistics Training Specialists to support RFQTS 17281 – Defence Logistics Training Services, a long-term Defence Learning & Development opportunity in Canberra.
This opportunity will support Defence logistics training programs within a Joint Logistics Command environment, with a focus on course delivery, training coordination, learning design, training administration, learning systems support, evaluation and continuous improvement.

Position Description
The successful team will support the delivery, management and continuous improvement of Defence logistics training services. This includes supporting structured training programs, coordinating course delivery, maintaining courseware, managing learning records, supporting Defence learning systems and ensuring training outcomes align with Defence requirements.
The work will involve supporting face-to-face Defence logistics training programs in Canberra, including course planning, stakeholder coordination, administration, learning design, assessment support, evaluation and reporting.
This opportunity is suited to Learning and Development professionals, training coordinators, LMS administrators, learning designers and Defence training specialists who have experience working in Defence, Federal Government or complex training environments.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on the role, responsibilities may include:
• Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of Defence logistics training programs
• Managing course schedules, delivery plans and readiness activities
• Coordinating participants, directing staff, facilitators, visiting lecturers and stakeholders
• Supporting course nominations, panelling and participant administration
• Preparing and distributing joining instructions and course communications
• Coordinating training facilities, venues, equipment, catering, printing and course materials
• Supporting delivery of face-to-face training activities in Canberra
• Maintaining and updating courseware, training materials and learning resources
• Supporting SADL-aligned learning design, development, implementation and evaluation
• Developing or updating participant manuals, facilitator guides, presentations, assessments and exercises
• Supporting eLearning content development and maintenance where required
• Maintaining training records in Defence systems
• Supporting ADELE, Moodle-based LMS, LXP or other learning platforms
• Supporting PMKeyS training administration and course record management
• Managing assessment records, completion data, certification and reporting requirements
• Collecting and analysing learner, facilitator and stakeholder feedback
• Supporting post-course reviews, learning evaluation and continuous improvement activities
• Preparing reports, meeting artefacts, minutes, action items, risks and issue updates
• Supporting Defence governance, security, records management and information management requirements
• Contributing to high-quality training outcomes across the contract period
Role Areas
L&D Program Manager
Leads overall program delivery, manages the contractor team, oversees governance, reporting, risks, schedules, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement. This role is expected to represent the contractor team and ensure delivery aligns with Defence requirements.
L&D Course Manager
Coordinates day-to-day course delivery, manages course schedules, delivery readiness, participant coordination, visiting lecturer engagement, course logistics and stakeholder communications.
Defence Training Administrator / Implementation Support
Supports course administration, nominations, joining instructions, participant records, assessment administration, certificates, course materials, event logistics and Defence systems updates.
Learning Designer / Learning Developer
Designs, updates and maintains learning materials, courseware, facilitator guides, participant resources, assessments, exercises and eLearning content in line with Defence learning standards.
L&D Analysis Officer
Supports training needs analysis, evaluation, learner feedback analysis, reporting, learning effectiveness reviews and continuous improvement recommendations.
ADELE / LMS Administrator
Supports Defence learning systems, LMS administration, course setup, content maintenance, learner records, data quality and platform coordination.
PMKeyS Training Administrator
Supports training administration records, learner data, course completion tracking and compliance with Defence training record requirements.

Highly Regarded Experience
• Previous Defence L&D experience
• Defence logistics, operational training or capability training experience
• Joint Logistics Command or Strategic Logistics Branch exposure
• Experience with DLOC or DSLS
• Experience supporting ADF, APS or international course participants
• Experience coordinating instructors, facilitators, directing staff or visiting lecturers
• Experience with SADL, ADELE, PMKeyS, LXP, Objective, Moodle or Articulate 360
• Experience preparing course reports, evaluation reports or training effectiveness reports
• Strong documentation, coordination and communication skills
• Current Baseline, NV1 or higher security clearance
Location
Canberra, ACT.
Onsite attendance will be required for course delivery and nominated Defence activities. Hybrid arrangements may be considered for some activities where approved and where delivery, responsiveness and security requirements are not impacted.

Security Clearance
Security requirements will vary depending on the role.
• NV1 is required for key personnel
• Baseline clearance is expected for other personnel, with ability to obtain NV1 where required
Candidates with current Baseline, NV1 or higher clearance will be strongly regarded.
Rate Guidance
Rates will vary depending on role type, skill level, clearance, Defence experience and delivery requirements.
Azooa recommended maximum rate for the L&D Program Manager role is $133.58 per hour including super.
If operating through your own company, please provide your rate plus GST.
