About the Role

As the Bus Driver, you will be responsible for assisting residents in enjoying group recreational activities, contributing to their overall well-being. You will drive responsibly, maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the bus, and provide exceptional customer service. You will report your conversation with residents, participate in self-development activities and support business planning and policy development within your area of responsibility.

Responsibilities include:

  • Drives responsibly, adhering to all road rules, safety regulations, and health and safety requirements.
  • Maintains the roadworthiness of the bus, ensures the vehicle is kept clean and tidy and reports any maintenance issues while in use.
  • Accompanies residents on group outings such as scenic drives, shopping trips, and visits to local attractions.
  • Loads and unloads equipment, folds and unfolds mobility aids, and provides support to residents throughout the outing.

About You

To be successful in this role, our preferred candidate will have:

  • Moderate experience in operating a small bus and using lifting equipment is preferred.
  • C Class Open License or Medium/Heavy rigid Driving Licence for buses with greater than 11 passenger capacity is prescribed.
  • Proficient in Vehicle Maintenance, Mechanics and Inspection, Knowledge of Road Safety, Knowledge of Traffic Rules and Regulations, Defensive Driving Techniques and Navigation & Routing skills.
  • Excellent Communication, Planning and Prioritisation and Analytical thinking skills.

Located in the north eastern suburbs of Adelaide, nestled in leafy Tea Tree Gully. Our Home is collocated with the Ridgehaven Rise Retirement Village and just a short drive from the Tea Tree Plaza Shopping precinct.
