Due to movement within the payroll team, we are seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator who is looking to focus on payroll within a large and dynamic environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of end-to-end payroll services for employees at both a national and international level. We have a strong payroll function that focuses on processing payroll correctly and on time, understanding the why, and improving how we work. You will grow through hands-on experience and work closely with experienced professionals as a member of the Payroll Processing team within the Monadelphous Payroll Function, located at our Victoria Park head office.

Key Responsibilities

• Working within the payroll area processing weekly and fortnightly payrolls for both a national and international workforce.
• Ensure compliance with taxation, superannuation, and employment legislation.
• Respond to employee payroll enquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Working with other members of the payroll function on payroll process and system improvements.
• Running reports to address payroll related queries.
• Supporting other payroll activities as required
• Calculation of complex backpays and termination payments.
• Working with the Human Resource and Industrial Relations teams to facilitate the accurate payment of employees.
• Liaising with and training site administration on payroll systems and processes.
• Building strong relationships with employees and key internal stakeholders to ensure an efficient payroll process
• Facilitating current STP, My Leave, Centrelink, Payday Super and external redundancy portal requirements.

What you’ll bring

• Have solid Microsoft Office and database skills, including at least intermediate excel.
• Previous payroll experience is essential, with knowledge of Ascender being highly desirable
• Experience dealing with multiple employment agreements (EBAs) with various overtime and allowance requirements is considered essential.
• A high level of efficiency and attention to detail combined with initiative and flexibility.
• An appreciation for the confidentiality of personal information is a must.
• Be self-motivated, have a passion for providing excellent customer service; with exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills who enjoys being part of a dynamic team Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
