About The Role
- Independently write, edit and present news to an exceptional standard and tight deadlines for a variety of ARN stations.
- Take input and direction from the Head of Information & News, Editor of News Operations, Content Director, and National Content Director.
- Report from the field as required.
- Work independently and exercise initiative and judgment on difficult and responsible assignments.
- Work individually or as part of a team without direct supervision.
- Understand audience requirements of ARN stations to deliver targeted, interesting and informative news in a conversational, credible and sometimes fun style.
- Please note this is a fixed term contract
About You
- Wide practical experience and advanced journalistic skills
- Ability to create compelling news stories including interviews
- Minimum 5 year’s experience as a Radio Journalist
- Degree in Communications/Journalism or demonstrated practical work experience
- Thorough understanding of media law, as it applies to broadcast news in Australia
