A little bit about you

You are an experienced community services professional who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and brings emotional intelligence, professionalism and a genuine commitment to creating better outcomes for the people and communities we serve.

You will also bring:

  • Experience leading projects in a community services, not-for-profit or government-adjacent organisation, with a track record of working alongside or reporting to senior leadership
  • Sound knowledge of homelessness, AOD, family violence or related service sectors and an understanding of how government-funded services operate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports, submissions or funding documentation
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills. You know how to influence without authority and bring people along with you
  • A tertiary qualification in community services, social work or equivalent or experience in Policy, Management or Project Management
  • Formal project management qualifications are not required

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join VincentCare's senior management team in a newly created, fast-paced role that will make a real difference. Reporting to the Senior Manager Specialist Services, you will work alongside Senior Managers and Hub Managers across our Inner Melbourne, Northern and Hume hubs to drive forward a portfolio of high-priority projects at a time of significant organisational growth and activity.

This is a hands-on project role, you will lead project meetings, manage documentation and governance and keep complex workstreams moving across the organisation. With no direct reports, your influence will come through your ability to build relationships, communicate with clarity and work effectively with people at all levels, from frontline teams to executive leadership and external partners including government, funders and sector bodies.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate project management activity across multiple concurrent projects, including property and construction, service relocation, program reform and policy development
  • Drive project meetings, forums and consultations, ensuring actions are tracked, documented and progressed
  • Support Senior Managers with project governance, reporting and stakeholder communications at an executive and board level
  • Work collaboratively with Hub Managers across Inner Melbourne, Northern and Hume to progress large-scale projects that improve outcomes for clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, government representatives, partner agencies and sector bodies
  • Ensure project documentation, financial reporting and compliance requirements are met in line with VincentCare's policies and funding obligations
