About the role
The Senior Psychologist is responsible for providing psychological assessment and therapeutic services to clients presenting with a broad range of issues relating to mental health, domestic violence, alcohol and substance use and trauma, among other complex presentations. In addition, the Senior Psychologist is responsible for enhancing the psychological services delivered by SEWB through quality improvement initiatives, program development and supervision and training of staff.
Remote travel is a possible requirement of this position.
To be considered for this position, you will require:
- Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with extensive psychological experience in a range of settings.
- Advanced psychology skills across a number of assessment and treatment modalities for a range of complex mental health illnesses, including those specific to SEWB.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of supervision and training of psychologist and/or other health professionals.
- Demonstrated experience in developing procedures and protocols for psychological services, including continuous quality improvement activities, service reviews and treatment programs.
- Eligibility to apply for a Medicare Provider Number and bill services rendered.
- Awareness of and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture and history and knowledge of factors influencing the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal children and families in Central Australia.
- Current NT Drivers License.
- Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations.
