The opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Advisor to join our team supporting the Confluence Water JV based in Chatswood. In this role, you will play a key part in fostering a strong Zero Harm culture across operations, ensuring our people can thrive while working safely and without harm to the communities and environments we operate in.
Reporting to the Health and Safety Business Partner, you will partner closely with operational teams, leaders and stakeholders to deliver consistent and effective health, safety, environment and sustainability practices. You will contribute to the implementation of the Zero Harm Roadmap, support innovation initiatives and embed best practice standards across all operational functions.
This is a hands on role requiring strong field presence, coaching capability and the ability to influence outcomes across a diverse workforce. The role may involve travel, flexible hours and occasional night shifts aligned with operational requirements.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a proactive and engaging safety professional who brings both technical capability and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
You will bring
- A Diploma or Certificate in Health and Safety or willingness to obtain
- Experience in a health safety and environment role within a high risk industry such as construction or infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of risk management, incident investigation and injury management practices
- Experience conducting audits and supporting compliance with WHS legislation and standards
- Ability to coach, mentor and influence operational teams to improve safety performance
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to work across multiple priorities
- Proficiency in reporting tools and systems with exposure to data analysis and insights You will be someone who leads by example, builds relationships across the business and actively contributes to improving safety maturity and performance
