Events and Commercial Manager

Southport Sharks is home to a thriving events business, a 120-room hotel, multiple restaurants and bars, gaming, health club and major future development plans. We're looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Events & Commercial Manager to help shape our next chapter.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you'll lead the commercial and operational success of our business, driving Sales through our Mantra at Sharks, the Events Centre and associated function spaces, driving revenue growth, delivering exceptional experiences whilst supporting a high-performing team.

What You'll Do

• Drive revenue growth across conferences, corporate events, weddings, exhibitions, sporting and community events.
• Lead, coach and inspire a passionate Events team.
• Identify new business opportunities and build strong client relationships.
• Manage budgets, forecasting and commercial performance.
• Oversee the delivery of exceptional events and guest experiences.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement and operational excellence.

You'll bring

• At least five years' leadership experience in events, hospitality or commercial operations.
• A proven track record of growing revenue and delivering business results.
• Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and performance.
• Experience within hospitality, hotels, events or entertainment venues.
• Experience with Ivvy or similar systems (highly regarded)
