Senior Cloud & Network Engineer

Why This Role Matters

We’re looking for a Senior Cloud & Network Engineer to play a key role in shaping and supporting our modern hybrid infrastructure.

Working closely with the IT Infrastructure & Cloud Manager, Service Desk and PMO teams, you’ll lead the design, implementation and optimisation of our Azure, AWS and network environments, ensuring they are secure, scalable and high performing.

This is a hands-on senior role where you’ll also act as a trusted technical advisor and Level 3 escalation point, helping guide both technical teams and business stakeholders through complex challenges.

You will also be required to travel to sites locally and interstate on an adhoc basis for the delivery of projects.

What You Will Be Doing

• Act as the technical subject matter for cloud and network infrastructure
• Manage and enhance existing Azure, AWS, Entra ID and AD environments
• Plan & execute end to end cloud and network migrations, including Microsoft 365 and migrations of server workloads from on-premise and external cloud platforms into Azure/AWS
• Manage and optimise hybrid infrastructure
• Provide Level 3 support for complex incidents, outages and high-risk events
• Mentor junior engineers’ level 1 & 2
• Drive automation and modernisation (IaC, CI/CD)
• Deliver enterprise network solutions (LAN/WAN, firewalls, Wi-Fi)
• Collaborate across teams and vendors, communicating technical concepts clearly

What You Will Bring

• Extensive experience in network engineering or infrastructure roles
• Hands on experience working with cloud networking (Azure and/or AWS)
• Strong experience with hybrid cloud architecture and enterprise networks
• Deep knowledge of networking technologies (e.g. BGP, IPSec, VLANs, DHCP, Wi-Fi)
• Hands-on experience with Entra ID, MFA, SSO and identity security
• Experience with Intune, Autopilot and device provisioning
• Exposure to automation, IaC and CI/CD (PowerShell, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. Essential Eight)
• Proven ability to deliver large-scale infrastructure projects including planning and execution
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience in Aged Care or health environments
• Valid right to Work in Australia
• Valid driver’s licence
• Current National Police check/ NDIS check (or willingness to obtain) Qualifications
• Relevant qualifications in IT or Computer Science credentials
• Relevant certification preferred across: Fortinet (NSE 4-7), Microsoft Azure and Entra (AZ-700, SC 300), AWS (Solutions Architects, Advanced Networking), Windows Server/ Active Directory.
