Key Responsibilities

Trust Account Management

  • Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero
  • Reconciling bank accounts, trust accounts, and property-related ledgers
  • Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cashflow tracking
  • Preparing and lodging BAS/IAS
  • Assisting with tax compliance and audit preparation
  • Supporting monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reporting
  • Contributing to budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Supporting financial administration across healthcare, property, and investment entities
  • Upholding the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and accuracy
  • Inter-company transfers.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and journals for property portfolios.
  • Development Accounting: Support the development team with monthly claims and job costing.
  • Investor Relations: Handle monthly distributions and quarterly updates to investors.
  • Billing and Invoicing: Issue accurate tenant charges and development billing monthly.
  • Payments and Vendor Management: Oversee accounts payable and organize weekly payment runs.

Skills and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting.
  • CPA
  • Previous experience in a Property Accountant or similar role
  • Strong understanding of month-end, reconciliations and reporting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, specifically Xero and MYOB.
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager is highly beneficial.
