Key Responsibilities
Trust Account Management
- Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero
- Reconciling bank accounts, trust accounts, and property-related ledgers
- Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cashflow tracking
- Preparing and lodging BAS/IAS
- Assisting with tax compliance and audit preparation
- Supporting monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reporting
- Contributing to budgeting and forecasting activities
- Supporting financial administration across healthcare, property, and investment entities
- Upholding the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and accuracy
- Inter-company transfers.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and journals for property portfolios.
- Development Accounting: Support the development team with monthly claims and job costing.
- Investor Relations: Handle monthly distributions and quarterly updates to investors.
- Billing and Invoicing: Issue accurate tenant charges and development billing monthly.
- Payments and Vendor Management: Oversee accounts payable and organize weekly payment runs.
Skills and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting.
- CPA
- Previous experience in a Property Accountant or similar role
- Strong understanding of month-end, reconciliations and reporting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software, specifically Xero and MYOB.
- Experience with Yardi Voyager is highly beneficial.
