We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to help clients shape and deliver enterprise-wide data transformation initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, technology, and data, partnering with senior client stakeholders to define data visions, architect modern data ecosystems, and enable data-driven decision making at scale.
The successful candidate will lead the design of enterprise data architectures, data platforms, governance frameworks, and modern data operating models across complex transformation programs. They will work closely with business and technology leaders to translate strategic objectives into actionable data roadmaps, ensuring that data capabilities support broader organisational, digital, and AI ambitions.
Key responsibilities include advising executives on data strategy, defining target-state architectures, leading architecture assessments, shaping data platform modernisation programs, and providing oversight across large-scale delivery initiatives. The role also requires the ability to influence senior stakeholders, facilitate executive workshops, develop business cases, and drive alignment across business and technology teams.
Beyond client delivery, this individual will contribute to practice growth through thought leadership, solution development, capability building, and supporting business development activities. They will play a key role in mentoring teams, shaping go-to-market propositions, and helping organisations unlock value from data, analytics, and emerging AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of enterprise data strategies, target-state architectures, and transformation roadmaps.
Advise senior client stakeholders on data, analytics, AI, and technology-enabled transformation initiatives.
Design modern data architectures and operating models that support business growth, innovation, and digital transformation.
Lead architecture assessments, platform selection activities, and data modernisation programs.
Establish data governance, data management, and information architecture frameworks.
Drive alignment between business, technology, and delivery teams across large-scale transformation initiatives.
Facilitate executive workshops and strategic planning sessions.
Develop business cases, value realisation frameworks, and investment recommendations.
Provide architecture leadership and oversight throughout delivery lifecycles.
Support business development, proposal development, and client relationship management activities.
Mentor and coach practitioners while contributing to capability growth across the practice.
What You'll Bring
Proven experience leading enterprise-scale data transformation and architecture initiatives within complex organisational environments.
The ability to engage and influence senior business and technology stakeholders, translating strategic objectives into pragmatic data and technology outcomes.
Deep expertise in enterprise data architecture, modern data platforms, governance frameworks, and data operating models.
Experience shaping and delivering cloud-based data ecosystems across platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent technologies.
A strong understanding of the evolving Data & AI landscape and the role data foundations play in enabling advanced analytics, AI, and intelligent automation.
Experience designing knowledge engineering architectures - including ontologies, semantic models, and knowledge graphs
A track record of defining data strategies, transformation roadmaps, and business cases that deliver measurable business value.
Commercial acumen and consulting experience, with the ability to build trusted client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and driving collaboration across business, technology, and delivery functions.
Strong communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills, with confidence engaging executive audiences.
The ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic execution, helping clients move from vision to measurable outcomes.
