About the Role

As a Strategy Manager, you'll help clients and investors make confident growth and investment decisions—while leading the teams and workstreams that deliver them. You'll manage commercial due diligence and market assessment engagements end-to-end, oversee the development of robust financial models, and guide your team in turning research into clear, actionable recommendations—evaluating how industry dynamics, competitor moves, and internal capabilities shape the investment thesis and strategic options. As a key point of contact for clients pre- and post-deal, you'll own the delivery of practical value-creation plans and play a central role in developing junior team members.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and manage buy- and sell-side commercial due diligence and strategy engagements end-to-end, taking ownership of scoping, workplanning, resourcing, budgeting, and overall deliverable quality.

  • Manage and coach a team of Associates and Senior Associates. Allocating workstreams, reviewing outputs, providing feedback, and supporting their development and performance.

  • Direct the design and execution of primary and secondary research (expert interviews, customer surveys, desk research), ensuring the team triangulates data to quantify market, customer, and competitive insights.

  • Oversee and pressure-test financial and operational models (growth forecasts, scenarios, revenue bridges, cohort analyses), challenging assumptions underpinning the investment case.

  • Synthesise findings into clear investment theses, red flags, and strategic recommendations, and take accountability for the analytical rigour of conclusions.

  • Own the production of high-quality deliverables (CDD reports, executive summaries, and decks) and lead workshops and presentations to management teams, boards, and investors.

  • Serve as a primary client contact, managing day-to-day relationships and expectations, and managing engagement economics including WIP, billing, and profitability.

  • Lead post-deal value creation and 100-day plan workstreams, and collaborate across Deals, Corporate Finance, and sector specialists to deliver integrated advice.

  • Drive business development and practice growth. Lead and contribute to proposals, pitches, and thought leadership, and support recruitment, onboarding, and improving our tools and frameworks.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in commercial due diligence or strategy consulting with strong analytical and research capabilities.

  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; proficiency in PowerPoint and comfort with data tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx) is a plus.

  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems, develop hypotheses, and quantify market and customer insights.

  • Clear, compelling communication—write sharp reports and present confidently to senior stakeholders.

  • Collaborative and organised, with the ability to manage workstreams and deadlines in multi-disciplinary teams.

What you’ll gain

  • The opportunity to work with leading organisations and cutting-edge technology that challenge and expand your expertise.

  • Work within an inclusive environment committed to Inclusion and Diversity and First Nations Prosperity, ensuring diverse perspectives are at the forefront of our work.

  • Flexibility means trusting you to choose when, where, and how you work balancing what’s best for you, your team, and your clients to grow and thrive together.

  • Clear paths for career progression supported by continuous learning and leadership development.

  • Generous leave entitlements to support your work-life balance - including floating public holidays, birthday leave and ability to purchase additional leave on top of your four weeks.

  • A world-class parental leave policy offering up to 26 weeks of leave for caregivers, supporting your family and personal life.
