About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position (38 hours per week, Monday to Friday) based at our Broken Hill site.

As a Lead Workforce Adviser within our Workforce Australia team, you will support people from diverse backgrounds to overcome barriers to employment and achieve meaningful work outcomes. combining tailored caseload management with day-to-day operational support for the team, you will build strong relationships with customers, employers, and community stakeholders while supporting the Area Manager to drive team performance, operational outcomes, and contract targets. At times, the position may require day travel to provide operational support to surrounding areas, where access to a company vehicle will be provided.

About You

Skills, Experience and Attributes:

  • Demonstrated experience working under the Workforce Australia contract or in a Workforce Adviser or employment services role, with a strong understanding of compliance, case management, and employment outcome strategies
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Demonstrated experience in meeting/exceeding targets.
  • Experience managing a caseload, engaging, motivating, mentoring, and progressing individuals; or experience in a customer facing role and passion for providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to persevere when faced with resistance; overcome obstacles and maintain a positive attitude and stable performance under pressure.
  • Familiarity with contractual frameworks, privacy principals, and accurate record-keeping or willingness to diversify knowledge.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, both in person and remotely.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and effectively, adapting communication style as needed.

Qualifications, Licences and Checks:

  • Relevant qualifications in Employment Services and/or Community Services desired, but not essential.
  • Current Driver’s License (Class C or above).
  • Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
