Key Responsibilities

As a Support Worker at Big Smile Services, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Personalized Care: Provide individualized support and care to participants in their homes or within the community.
• Promoting Independence: Encourage and assist participants to build and maintain their independence in daily activities.
• Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and companionship to individuals, fostering a positive and trusting relationship.
• Assist with Daily Living: Aid with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and other daily tasks as required.
• Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with participants, their families, and the team to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records and reports on participant progress and any incidents or concerns.

Qualifications

• Compassion, empathy, and a strong commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Patience and adaptability to address various needs and challenges.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
