How You Can Make a Difference

This is a hands-on Technical Lead role sitting in our Technology & Transformation team, right in the middle of a major digital uplift.

You’ll lead the thinking and delivery behind how our websites, platforms and digital experiences actually work, translating business needs into smart, scalable solutions that improve how people interact with the Heart Foundation.

You will have the opportunity to work flexibly, blending your time between home and our Bourke St office.

We’re looking for someone who can start immediately; so if you’re available or wrapping up soon, we’d love to hear you.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead and facilitate technical workshops with internal teams and external partners to shape solutions
Manage and continuously improve our digital platform ecosystem including websites, web apps and integrations
Design, build and maintain APIs, integrations and automated workflows across key systems
Contribute to front-end development and delivery of new digital features
Monitor performance and lead testing and optimisation to improve user experience
Work with digital, UX and delivery teams to scope and prioritise work
Drive innovation in areas like AI, automation and API connectivity

What You'll Bring

Proven experience in a senior technical role (Technical Lead, Senior Developer or similar)
Strong experience with modern web technologies (React, Next.js) and front-end development
Experience designing and integrating APIs (REST/GraphQL) and working across platforms
Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), DevOps and modern architecture patterns
Experience working with AI tools or automation technologies is a big plus
Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
A pragmatic, collaborative approach and comfort working in ambiguity
