The Role
The Finance Director will partner directly with senior business leaders to shape commercial performance, drive investment decisions, and strengthen financial governance across the ANZ business. Leading a team of finance professionals, this role spans commercial finance, governance and risk, and people leadership, with the opportunity to contribute to the broader Asia Pacific finance leadership community.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior business leaders to identify opportunities to improve performance and accelerate growth
- Support business planning, investment decisions, and pivotal strategic initiatives
- Evaluate investment opportunities and business cases using financial modelling and economic analysis
- Analyse business performance, market trends, and commercial opportunities to inform decision-making
- Promote strong financial stewardship, governance, and risk management practices
- Ensure financial activities align with internal standards and regulatory requirements
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals
- Build trusted partnerships across business, operational, and finance stakeholders
- Collaborate with regional and global finance teams to deliver shared goals
The Candidate
- Senior commercial finance background, ideally from a large multinational or large complex organisation
- Strong commercial judgement and ability to connect financial outcomes to business performance
- Proven experience evaluating investments and supporting strategic decision-making
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to develop and inspire a team
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence senior business leaders
- Comfortable operating across functions, cultures, and geographic locations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related discipline
- CA / CPA / ACCA / CIMA highly regarded
- Significant experience in senior commercial finance or finance business partnering roles
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
