Structural Engineer - Defence & Maritime

We're partnering with a well-established engineering organisation delivering complex structural engineering solutions across high-profile Australian defence programs. Due to continued project growth, they're seeking an experienced

Structural Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team supporting the design, analysis and sustainment of critical defence platforms.

This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging projects where structural integrity, analysis and engineering excellence are at the forefront.

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform structural assessments and detailed Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on complex defence systems.
• Deliver engineering analysis to support design, verification and certification activities.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation and engineering reports.
• Support ongoing capability development across major defence programs.

What We're Looking For

• Degree qualified in Structural, Mechanical, Naval Architecture or Aerospace Engineering.
• Previous experience within the Australian Defence sector, ideally across maritime or aerospace programs.
• Strong experience conducting Finite Element Analysis using industry-standard analysis tools such as ANSYS, ABAQUS or Nastran.
• Experience using specialist engineering software such as WAMIT/AQWA, OrcaFlex or HydroSTAR will be highly regarded.
• Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain or hold an NV1 Security Clearance.

Please note: This role is focused on specialist structural analysis. We're specifically seeking engineers with dedicated FEA experience using advanced analysis packages, rather than design engineers whose FEA exposure has been limited to CAD-integrated tools such as SolidWorks Simulation or CATIA.
