About the role
As our new Manager, Financial Accountability Regime, you'll be part of the Legal team within our Governance, Risk, Compliance and Legal division, reporting to the General Counsel. Your mission? To oversee CareSuper's compliance with the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) and provide trusted operational, governance and compliance support across the business.
You will:
- Maintain and regularly update CareSuper's accountability map, accountability statements and accountability register in line with FAR requirements.
- Support accountable persons to document and evidence reasonable steps, including through internal reviews and assurance activities.
- Oversee FAR obligations including reporting, breach notifications, record-keeping and annual declarations.
- Partner with Legal, Risk, People, Culture and Capability, and compliance teams to align FAR requirements with governance processes.
- Develop FAR-related training, awareness materials, policies and procedures for accountable persons and relevant teams.
- Prepare reports for the Board and Executive on FAR compliance, incidents and emerging risks.
- Act as the central point of contact for FAR queries and the primary liaison with regulators on FAR matters.
What we're looking for
We're on the lookout for a highly capable governance, risk, compliance or legal professional who can interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into practical, well-embedded processes. You'll thrive in this role if you have:
- A strong understanding of financial services law and regulation, including demonstrated experience with the Financial Accountability Regime Act.
- Experience in governance, risk, compliance or legal advisory roles within financial services.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior leaders, accountable persons and cross-functional teams.
- The ability to interpret complex regulatory obligations and turn them into clear, practical processes.
- A proactive, organised and autonomous working style, with the judgement to seek support when needed.
- High ethical standards, integrity and a commitment to strong governance outcomes.
