CBRE is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to join our IFM Investors account team across a portfolio of retail shopping centres in northern Melbourne. You'll own audit cycles, compliance reporting and contractor oversight day to day, with the autonomy to run your week and the backing of an experienced Senior FM to grow alongside.
Perfect for an FM coordinator or technician ready for the next step, or someone from retail operations, building services or a trade background who brings the right instincts.
In This Role, You Will
- Manage day to day operations across a portfolio of retail shopping centres in northern Melbourne
- Own audit processing and compliance reporting, holding contractors and sites to a high standard
- Oversee contractor performance across planned, preventative and reactive maintenance programs
- Build strong working relationships with tenants and the IFM Investors team, keeping communication proactive and issues resolved quickly
- Partner with the Senior FM on technical building services matters and operational decision making
About You
- Some experience in facilities, retail operations, building services or a trade is ideal, though we are equally open to strong transferable skills from a customer focused or operational background
- A compliance mindset and high attention to detail, you notice things others miss and follow through, whether that comes from FM, retail operations, a trade or anywhere people are held to a standard
- Confident communicator, comfortable managing contractors and tenants with professionalism and authority
- Self directed and organised, able to structure your week and manage competing priorities across multiple sites
- Comfortable holding contractors accountable and escalating where standards aren't met
