Portfolio Management

  • Support the management of diversified investment portfolios across listed and private markets.
  • Monitor portfolio performance against strategic objectives and benchmarks.
  • Undertake portfolio analytics and attribution analysis.
  • Assist with portfolio construction, asset allocation and risk management initiatives.
  • Monitor liquidity and cashflow requirements across investment portfolios.

Investment Research & Due Diligence

  • Conduct detailed quantitative and qualitative investment analysis.
  • Assess new investment opportunities across domestic and international markets.
  • Prepare investment papers and recommendations for Investment Committees.
  • Complete financial modelling, valuation analysis and scenario testing.
  • Review macroeconomic trends, industry developments and market risks.

External Manager Oversight

  • Manage relationships with external investment managers.
  • Conduct ongoing manager monitoring and performance reviews.
  • Participate in operational and investment due diligence.
  • Review investment mandates and fee structures.
  • Monitor ESG integration and responsible investment outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Present investment recommendations to senior investment leaders.
  • Prepare Board and Investment Committee reporting.
  • Work closely with Risk, Operations, Legal, Finance and Investment Governance teams.
  • Support strategic investment projects across the broader investment function.

Market Research

  • Monitor global financial markets and economic conditions.
  • Analyse emerging investment themes.
  • Contribute to strategic asset allocation reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for portfolio enhancement.

The Successful Applicant

We're Seeking An Experienced Institutional Investment Professional With

  • 5-10+ years' experience within funds management, superannuation, asset management, sovereign wealth, family office, investment consulting or institutional investment.
  • Experience across one or more asset classes including:
    • Equities
    • Fixed Income
    • Private Equity
    • Infrastructure
    • Property
    • Credit
    • Alternatives
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation capability.
  • Experience assessing institutional investment opportunities.
  • Portfolio construction and asset allocation knowledge.
  • Excellent investment writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management capability.
  • High levels of commercial judgement and analytical thinking.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce or a related discipline.

CFA Charterholder (or progression towards completion) highly regarded.

CA Or CPA Qualifications Considered Advantageous.

Postgraduate qualifications (MBA or Masters in Finance) viewed favourably.
