Associate - Project Finance & Investment

Orimco’s continued success sees us needing to expand our team. We are seeking an experienced associate to help grow our established Advisory and Investment businesses.

The Associate – Project Finance & Investment will support the execution of mining finance advisory mandates, as well as contributing to Orimco’s investment activities.

Orimco is a Perth based, boutique independent advisory and investment firm with a strong record of providing financial advice to the mining sector, as well as wholesale investment management services.

Our multidisciplinary team has debt, investment, markets, legal and mining technical expertise as well as a deep understanding of the mining sector. We have a global reach having worked on all continents, with broad experience across a range of projects, commodities, and transactions.

About the Role

• Principally focused on our debt finance Advisory transactions
• Conduct financial analysis, modelling and due diligence
• Prepare information memoranda and financing materials
• Analyse a broad spectrum of financing proposals and investment opportunities
• Support developing detailed term sheets and negotiating financing documentation
• Extensive client interaction
• Depending on your expertise and experience, overall transaction management and business development

About You

• 3–5 years’ experience in project finance, leveraged or structured finance, debt advisory, investment banking, corporate banking, corporate finance, or related transaction advisory
• Strong analytical, modelling and quantitative skills (experience modelling debt/financing transactions would be highly regarded)
• Strong understanding of credit / investment analysis
• Advanced Excel capability
• Strong commercial judgement and attention to detail
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Highly motivated, entrepreneurial, proactive and the ability to work independently
• Strong interest in the mining sector and a desire to improve your understanding of and develop networks in this sector
• Relevant tertiary qualifications / professional certification
